QPD Financial Manager – Support Office - Cape Town

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Management of QPD’S/ Rebates:

  • Take ownership of the QPD reporting cycle from cradle to grave.
  • Management of the QPD department administration employees: Motivate, guide, develop and manage the department employees in order to meet the department and teams objectives.
  • Develop, design and improve computer systems and business processes relating to QPD’s in order to ensure accounting and management reporting accuracies and efficiencies. Continuously evaluate and improve processes ensuring best business practice at all times.
  • Liaise with Procurement and Data Administration Departments to ensure integrity of QPD/Rebate master file information. Recommend and project manage improvements where required.
  • Manage monthly calculation, deduction, collection and distribution of QPD’s/Rebates.
  • Ensure QPD/Rebate accounts are accurate and reconciled.
  • Prepare monthly management information and statistics on QPDs’/Rebates accrued, invoiced, collected and outstanding.
  • Ensure prompt collection of QPD/Rebates owing. Clear any backlog of QPD’s/Rebates owing.
  • In association with operational Divisional Financial Managers (DFM’s), ensure QPD/Rebate accruals at stores are accurate and reconciled at all times.

 

Assist the Support Office Head of Finance with the following:

  • Project manage the review and update of all financial policies and procedures with the relevant stakeholders to ensure best business practice and appropriate risk management for the Group.
  • Management of company insurance policies, disclosures and claims.

  • Ensure accurate collation and incident reporting to insurance brokers

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting “cold calls” to new / potential customers
  • Representing Pennypinchers positively in the market place
  • Structured calls to existing customers
  • Attaining monthly sales budgets
  • Following up on quotations
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Offering advice and/or alternatives to customers
  • General administrative tasks
  • REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 year’s sales experience in the boards industry and relevant product knowledge
  • 3 years experience as an external sales representative
  • Proven business acumen, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Own vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license

Buyer – POCO Support Office

The main purpose of the job: will be to define and select the appropriate product ranges to achieve the budgeted sales and margin for the category and to manage the stock accordingly.

 

The main functional responsibilities are:

    • Define the Product range and assortments:
      • define, select monitor and control the product range.
      • Ensure that the POCO range is adapted to the SA market
      • Stock management: manage slow moving and promotional stock
      • Plan and supervise the sourcing strategy
  • Define, Develop and Monitor the pricing policy

 

  • Determine selling price, margins, discounts and stock levels
  • Monitor promotional activities
    • Ensure compliance with brand strategies and guidelines.
    • Prepare stock forecast and sales projections and impacts on margins
  • Store Merchandising
    • Communicate and assess needs of Store Managers with regards to the range definition and merchandising standards
    • Establish initial orders and co-ordinate product ranges for new Store openings and product / new collection launches
  • Contact Suppliers
    • Build relationships and negotiate terms and manage supplier agreements

 

Measure supplier performance and profitability of products

 

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Matric with Maths

 

  • Related retail qualification
  • 3 years retail buying in textiles and tableware

Creditors Clerk (temp) – Support Office Cape Town

4 month maternity cover contract

The main functional responsibilities are:

 

  • Reconciliation of Creditors Accounts.
  • Accurate and timeous payments of suppliers.
  • Capturing GRN / CRV’s into system
  • Matching GRN’s to invoices captured
  • Checking GRN’s against orders
  • Reconciling of creditors to supplier statement
  • Capturing payment onto system
  • Investigating variances i.e. price / quantity differences etc
  • Resolving queries with suppliers
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Matric
    • Bookkeeping qualification or similar would be an advantage
  • 2 – 3 years experience in a similar roleKnowledge and Skills Required
