Team Leader Payments (3Month FTC) – Support Office - Cape Town

The main purpose of the job: The main purpose of the job is to provide direction and guidance to the payments team, distribute work evenly, audit their work product and maintain accurate records, and schedules, as well as manage recoveries and fuel cards.

 

The main functional responsibilities are:

 

  • Contract register management
  • Manage expenses
  • Authorise expense invoices and creditors reconciliations
  • Review payment allocations and VAT
  • Manage recoveries and fuel cards
  • Sign off payments schedule for online banking
  • Managing small team (Leave, attendance, performance, training)

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Bookkeeping certificate or Accounting Diploma
  • 3 – 5 years bookkeeping and payments experience in a similar environment

 

Behavioral Dimensions:

 

  • High attention to detail, Computer knowledge (MS Office) Good Excel skills, Knowledge of Kerridge system, Good communication skills, Strong analytical ability, Planning and organizing, Team leadership, Good numerical skills
