PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To provide an external presence in the building materials market for the company, following up contacts for new business as well as providing an external link between the store and the existing customer base.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increasing customer base by
  • Conducting “cold calls” to new / potential customers
  • Representing BUCO positively in the market place
  • Structured calls to existing customers
  • Attaining monthly sales budgets
  • Following up on quotations
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Offering advice and/or alternatives to customers
  • General administrative tasksREQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 year’s sales experience in building/hardware materials environment
  • 3 years experience as an external sales representative
  • Own vehicle
  • Valid driver’s license

Machine Operator – Pennypinchers Hermanus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To cut and edge boards accurately, efficiently and timeously.
  • Interpret invoices and cutting lists for the picking and processing of boards
  • Provide prompt and efficient service to customers
  • Ensure that all timber and boards are accurately cut, neatly packed and accessible
  • Keep equipment well maintained and keep work area clean and tidy
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times

 

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Matric
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to read and interpret cutting lists

Creditors Clerk (temp) – Support Office Cape Town

4 month maternity cover contract

The main functional responsibilities are:

 

  • Reconciliation of Creditors Accounts.
  • Accurate and timeous payments of suppliers.
  • Capturing GRN / CRV’s into system
  • Matching GRN’s to invoices captured
  • Checking GRN’s against orders
  • Reconciling of creditors to supplier statement
  • Capturing payment onto system
  • Investigating variances i.e. price / quantity differences etc
  • Resolving queries with suppliers
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Matric
    • Bookkeeping qualification or similar would be an advantage
